In an age where the cultures of nations are becoming inter connected, there is an exchange of experiences of peoples around the world and the distances between countries are becoming closer. The world has become as if, it is a small village. Due to such developments the rhythm of crime has also spread remarkably fast around the world. The escalation of crimes endangers the security and destroys the very basis of the societies' stability. Security is the first pillar on which societies depend in their quest for unity and progress.

Naturally, this matter needs a complete Security Administration system that is capable of giving society a sense of security and stability. This would remove apprehensions and destroy the focal points of criminalities. Security administration anticipates any vicious plans targeting the security and safety of the nations. This will also help in running after the criminals and thereby taking them to face justice.

The Security Administration cannot carry on its duties successfully without being equipped with an information data base that is supported by accurate scientific research and objective study with all the information about crime.

Our attention in the Ministry of Interior for the last few years is setting up this information and data base and to depend on Security Planning which developed countries give high importance. Security planning is an advanced and a more scientific approach of dealing with the radical changes the world is witnessing in the twenty first century in every field, including Security.

Research studies discussing social, economic, and political issues have provided the Ministry of Interior to produce a keen overall Security strategy. Included in the strategy is the update of current and future data and information relating to Security. The work of the Ministry of Interior on this issue has gone far because of the wise leadership and directions of His Excellency, the Minister of Interior. The Ministry has supported and incorporated new Security Strategies through the use of electronic network paving the way to an "Electronic Government".

This more advanced step aims to serve our homeland, its citizens and all the residents in our beloved kingdom. We humbly ask God that he may grant more Security and Peace to the Kingdom under the wise leadership of the King and the administration.
